NISO Standards is a subcommittee of the Education Committee. It is responsible for monitoring information about standards produced by the National Information Standards Organization (NISO) and educating members about them.

The NISO Standards Subcommittee is chaired by a member of the CS-SIS.

The chair:

• coordinates any CS programs or educational events related to NISO Standards
  
• reports briefly on the committee's activities at the CS-SIS business meeting
• submits a written report to the CS-SIS Chair detailing the committee's activities according to the deadline set by the Chair each year; sends a copy of the report to the Secretary / Treasurer
