Each member at large serves a two-year term on the Executive Board, with one member at large being elected each year.

Each Member at Large:

• Attends the annual business meeting and board meetings held at the AALL Annual Meeting on the years preceeding, during and at the conclusion his/her term.
• Assist in other projects/duties as requested by the Chair.
• Briefly reports on activities at board and business meetings.

Each year a MAL serves will involve different additional duties:

The Junior Member at Large (year 1):

• Serves as the chair of the Communications Committee.
•  

The Senior Member at Large (year 2):

• Coordinates non-AMPC events as a member of the Program Planning Committee.
