The Bylaws Committee is charged with reviewing and updating the CS-SIS Bylaws. The committee is ad-hoc and is generally appointed every two years.
Led by its chair, the committee:
- reviews the CS bylaws.
- recommends proposed changes to the Executive Board.
- works with the communications committee to arrange for publication of the changes to members.
The chair:
- with CS-SIS Secretary/Treasurer, oversees membership vote on proposed changes and announces results to members.
- with the CS-SIS webmaster, ensures that new changes are posted to the CS blog.
- reports briefly on the committee's activities at the CS-SIS business meeting.
- submits a written report to the CS-SIS Chair detailing the committee's activities according to the deadline set by the Chair each year; sends a copy of the report to the Secretary / Treasurer
